Salads and other dishes
Beef salad
(Salad topped with plenty of vegetables and stir-fried Wagyu)
01 / ABOUT THE PLACE
At Kinatsu, salads can put vegetables centre stage without skimping on substance. One pairs fresh spinach with bacon and garlic sautéed together; another tops a generous helping of vegetables with stir-fried Wagyu. A salad of leaf lettuce, cucumber, wakame, tomato and spring onion comes either with a sesame-and-salt dressing, chōreigi-style, or with Kinatsu’s ponzu-style dressing. There are other ways to begin, too: choose a light side dish, or try pidan tofu, combining century egg, tofu, cucumber and spring onion.
For a more filling meal, there is spicy nasi goreng, Indonesian-style fried rice, and spicy mie goreng, Indonesian-style fried noodles. Kimchi, prawn and crab fried rice offer further choices, with different flavours and ingredients to build around. Noodle dishes include ume-and-shiso somen and kimchi somen, both available with hot or cold broth, as well as cold noodles, bibim noodles and udon. The range makes it easy to put together a lighter lunch or combine several dishes for dinner, depending on your appetite.
Drinks include draft beer, sake and red or white wine by the glass, along with oolong tea shōchū and fresh lemon sour. Kinatsu is a casual restaurant in Jiyugaoka, with counter seating available.
